Why is Doomlings retiring Imaginary Ends Gold Packs?

Like we did last year with the Overlush Gold Packs, the Imaginary Ends Gold Packs will soon retire. All good things have an end. Some good things have two ends (shoelaces, hot dogs, burritos, etc.). Gold Packs, unfortunately, are not among them.

These Gold Packs were never meant to last forever. This is a collector's product and collector's products have limited availability.  With limited supply remaining, we expect to sell out within the next few months.

Will further Gold Packs eventually retire?

Yes, we do plan to retire other gold packs as well, eventually. However, we don’t plan to do this anytime soon. 

Are you making new Gold Packs?

Yes. There will be more Doomlings Gold Packs for other collections in the future! And our Legends of Enderas and Nightflower Island Gold Packs are still available at this time.

We created Gold Packs when we first released Overlush to give something special to collectors who love collecting Doomlings holofoils. From the beginning, we’ve always known that Doomlings is not a trading card game—it’s a dedicated deck card game designed to be accessible without requiring players to chase down rare cards to compete. However, many of us grew up loving the thrill of discovering rare, shiny cards, and we wanted to bring that sense of excitement into Doomlings—without compromising its core balance.

Gold Packs exist to offer that collectible experience for those who enjoy it. They feature unique, holofoil versions of cards that players can enjoy collecting and playing with, but they’re never required to have a complete Doomlings experience. Every expansion we create is carefully balanced to work with the core game, whether you play with just the base set or mix in every expansion. The Gold Packs simply add an extra layer of fun for those who love collecting.

At the end of the day, we want Doomlings to remain a game that’s easy to pick up and play while still offering a little something special for collectors. We know that a significant part of our player base enjoys the collectible aspect. So while Gold Packs aren’t for everyone, they’re here for those who love that extra bit of rarity and shine. If you’re into it—great! If not, the game remains fully playable without them.
